1. There is not much blue about the Blue Mosque from the outside but this Ottoman mosque is a must see, and once inside you can admire the magic of its ornate interior,including the thousands of blue tiles and huge stained-glass windows.

      Loved Istanbul, but went in August, 90 degrees Farenheit with 90% humidity! My favorite thing was the archeology museum with the Treaty of Kadesh and the Alexander sarcophagus.

      Hi, enjoyed your hub. My husband comes from Istanbul and these were the things he took me to see, (except I missed the dervishes and baths). I would add the underground water system as well.
