Last Minute Desperation

With less than one week before Christmas, some folks still have a lot of Christmas shopping left to do. For some people, they haven't even started shopping yet. Let's get real - at this point, some of the best stuff has already sold out at the stores. Obviously, if you are waiting the last minute to go Christmas shopping, this was a chance you were willing to take. So now, the countdown to Christmas has really kicked into full gear.

Right about now, there are some people going into full panic mode. They will buy anything, no matter what the cost, just to get the Christmas shopping done. However, there are other shoppers that are perfectly content with this situation. Every year, they purposely wait the last minute until the stores are all but giving away items. Retailers are desperate to pull you into their stores this time of year, so their sale prices are hitting rock bottom this week.

Instead of freaking out, this is your opportunity to get the best deals for Christmas. Personally, I would still recommend shopping for as much as possible before the retailers get to the desperate sales point, but if you are now facing this dilemma, it is time to make the most of it. Right now, you still have many last minute Christmas shopping options.

Yankee Candle

If you are the type of person that has waited the last minute because you don't have any good ideas for gifts, I would recommend taking a journey to Yankee Candle. Before you go to Yankee Candle, make sure to sign up for the email coupons. They will give you a $10 off coupon just for signing up. Once you receive your coupon, it is time to go shopping.

Yankee Candle always has great gift sets for Christmas. Of course, your best selection would have been available about a month ago at Yankee Candle, but now there is desperation in the air and it is no time to be picky. When you get to the store, you will find many last minute sale items like Christmas candles, gift sets, calendars, candle holders, and lip gloss. You will find a lot of decent generic gifts that you can give to just about anyone: neighbors, teachers, family members, and co-workers.

New York & Company

At this point in the Christmas shipping season, New York & Company is practically giving away stuff. Not only is every item on sale at the store, you can also receive amazing coupons for up to $30 off that you can use on the already discounted items. Lately, New York & Company has discounted everything in the store at 50% off and you can use a coupon on top of that. If you are a man and feel uncomfortable registering online at the New York & Company website to receive their coupons, ask a friend or a co-worker if she is already registered. Chances are, if she shops at the mall, she can already hook you up with their email coupons.

Once you get to the store, you will find amazing deals on scarves, gloves, and winter hats. If you want to get something a little fancier for the woman in your life, New York & Company always has a nice assortment of jewelry. If all else fails, they also have purses and socks if you are shopping for a family member and can't figure out the right Christmas gift.

Walmart or Target

Walmart and Target might seem obvious, but for some reason, many people overlook them on the way to shop at the mall for last minute Christmas gifts. Even if you are the type that believes gifts from the mall are better quality, I am here to tell you this is not the always the case. I shop at many stores at the mall, as well as Walmart and Target, and I can tell you the quality is often the same.

Walmart and Target both have amazing sales at this time. Both stores are selling electronics at crazy low prices the last week before Christmas. Furthermore, they also sell a number of gift sets. Walmart is probably the best store for getting last minute gift baskets for women any age. Target, on the other hand, has a better selection this year of novelty gifts for men. Either way, if you are running out of ideas, time, and money, then you should visit one or both stores.

Happy Last Minute Shopping!

Good luck on your journey to do your last minute Christmas shopping. I hope the experience will not be too painful for you. If all else fails, don't forget to drop by the supermarket or the drugstore for gift cards. Most supermarkets and drugstores have a wide variety of gift cards available at the front of the store. You can get anything from a generic Visa card to restaurant gift cards. Just consider your last minute Christmas shopping experience an "adventure" and try to make the most out of it. If you find the whole last minute shopping thing is not for you, just remember to shop earlier next year. Merry Christmas!
