We decorate a tree (artificial) in my house with ornaments and lights. We let the kids do the decorating. They are teenagers but they still enjoy doing it. I think that's pretty cool. When we really want to see lights and decorations, we visit La Salette Shrine's Christmas Light Display: http://jsmatthew.hubpages.com/hub/Beaut … ht-Display
It is quite a display of lights! We go in a big group of family and friends every year. It's a tradition. I look forward to it each year!

I usually decorate extensively inside and out. It takes me about two weeks to get it all done. I have about 300 ornaments on my tree! (Victorian style) I was so burned out this year and stressed at work that I took a break. No decorations at all. I feel kind of weird about it, but I hope to be in the mood next year. For the last twelve years, I have given big annual Christmas parties for family and friends, only missing this year and one other. I'll be ready to see them next year in my festively decorated house, I am hoping!
it's getting less and less every year. Christmas hasnt been the same for me for a while now and all the fuss is just becoming a chore...sorry to be a scrooge...I dont mean to be...maybe things will change in the future.
More than I would if I lived on my own. My wife likes to decorate a lot for Christmas. Just about every room in our home has some kind of Christmas decorations. It does give it a nice warm feeling when all the decorations are up, but doing all the decoracting is not much fun.
None.........
I do indeed believe in the Christ child........the saviour
but, I am not in any fashion entrapped by modern merchants dicates of notice or celebration.............
My idea, is to stand in the bitter cold, and to imagine...........giving birth, in a stable, among the livestock............
I'm a bit of a humbug and don't decorate at all... the girlfriend however drowns the place in tinsel!
Usually, we (me and the kids, hubby could care less) decorate just the inside, but this year the kids wanted more, so we're extending it outside. It's looking good
We have a tree up long before Christmas, usually around Thanksgiving. We decorate it (kids and adults) with lights and christmas ornaments. Each year we have a coordinating theme. Or we keep the same one from last year if we really liked it. This year our tree is gold and red. So we have white lights, both steady and flashing. We have the bulbs in all sorts of gold some sparkly, some metallic. Then we have the red bows. And of course, since we made homemade ornaments, we have those up too.
Near the tree we have stockings with the kids name on it and homemade snowflakes hung around the stockings.
well i have kids.. so I decorate per their requests.
Christmas tree, stockings and x-mas lights are about as far as i go.
I love the warm cozy feeling that decorations leave in the house.
yummy smells of cinnamon, and vanilla. mm.
I have been to places and it is common for Christians to decorate Christmas trees and lights with the Nativity setup.
Didn't you know that all these started from the greatest saint, St. Francis of Assissi?
Hey Daffy Duck, I believe you might have meant to say Christmas. Please check out this little hub with a very important message that I stumbled upon - http://theholestory.hubpages.com/hub/The-Word-Christmas
I do some in the front and back of the house. Then I do a tree inside and a Christmas village and a Nativity Scene. It's not too much at all and it definitely makes me reflect on what Christmas is really all about. Merry Christmas.

Has anyone ever had problems having a Christmas tree and a puppy? My puppy (Ruby) is now 14 months old (the sweetest girl in the world) but I am pretty sure the ornaments on a Christmas tree, the lights, and actually the tree itself, may be too much of a temptation for her. I have no idea what to do.
