How does your family spend Mother's Day?
Do you have any special mother's day traditions that you and your family practice?
By getting mom gifts. Dad always gets her flowers. The kids all give her presents to show that they remember all that she does for us. Then we all go out to lunch and shower her with love.
I love to pamper my mom and grandma. They shouldn't have to do any house work or cooking unless they insist. Being the oldest child, I arrange for my brothers and sisters to each have a job so that mom doesn't do it. We cook her breakfast and give her gifts. I started a tradition to bake a family recipe cake special for mother's day. A few times, I have made handmade coupons for hugs and chores and one was to do anything she asked without giving a hard time.
Dad and bro never celebrate Mother's day. So, I will always say "Happy Mother's Day" by giving her a call and chat with her until she is happy. I only see her once a year. I even sent her handmade Mother's Day card. She is happy to receive it by post.
