What are some of your family traditions for Thanksgiving? Where do you go and who cooks the meal?
I'm the mom, grandma now. Everyone comes to my house. I used to do all of the cooking, but one year I was injured and could not cook. Amazingly the dinner got made anyway!
Now everyone helps cook. It is our new tradition that everyone contributes a dish to the meal, whether they bring it along or cook it in my kitchen.
We stay home. First thing in the morning, my mother begins cooking while we begin watching the Macy's parade. We view all of the songs from musicals, write down the ones that we should look out for. Then we continue with the parade, pausing as we go so my mom can watch some of the floats too. Then we sit down to eat a gigantic lunch. After lunch, the two sisters and our mother sit down to watch the dog show. (My mother and sister train our dogs for showing purposes.)
