What is on your Thanksgiving menu for 2012? Are you going out for your feast?
We are having the traditional Thanksgiving Dinner with Turkey roasted to perfection (I hope), stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, home made rolls, fresh sweet corn, cranberry sauce, asparagus, black olives, green salad and fresh made pumpkin pie with Kool whip for dessert. I am curious as to how others feast on this day of Thanks.
We will have traditional dinner too. I'm not cooking (that's all Gram!) so I'm not 100% sure on every side dish but we will definitely have turkey (also hopefully roasted to perfection), mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, bread, cranberry sauce, veggies (our usuals are corn, carrots, squash, and green beans), and then we'll probably have a pie or three. There are around 20 people coming for dinner and a few more for dessert, so we will definitely have lots of dessert options - probably pumpkin pie, some other type of pie, cookies, and the gluten free pumpkin spice muffins that I'm making ,
Sounds like a very yummy feast! I would love your gluten free pumpkin spice muffin recipe - my mother in law is coming and she is gluten intolerant. Might be a great recipe hub!
Well the recipe is so short it isn't worth a hub haha. I'm making them for an aunt who eats GF. Mix a can of pumpkin and a box of any cake mix you choose (regular or GF), then bake in muffin tins. I wanna say it was 20 min at 350.
Our Thanksgiving dinner is much like yours except with a different vegetable instead of asparagus (which I love). We will also have a delicious lime jello mold with cream cheese and pineapple in it. There will be green olives and pickles with the black olives and either candied yams or a crunchy sweet potato dish. In addition to the pumpkin pie with real whipped cream, there will be carrot cake, apple pie and a cheesecake. We usually have over 21 people and we lounge over desserts hours after the main meal so we aren't too stuffed to enjoy them. We brew up some great coffee and talk while eating desserts.

What is your Thanksgiving menu? Depending on where you live, the menu changes. Which are those dishes that always need to make the table of your family celebration? I live in Puerto Rico, but we do celebrate Thanksgiving Day. In our family menu, some side dishes could change every year, but there...
