If it has been your tradition to give gifts, then perhaps you should. What's a little gift-giving at this most loved time of the year? ^_^
I'm all for you giving me gifts.
The kids in a family definitely should get gifts. Adults are another matter. What my family has done in the last several years is draw one name out of a hat and buy that person only gift(s) for a hundred bucks. Each person submits a list of what they want. This definitely cuts down on the cost, the hassle over shopping, and people getting a bunch of stuff they don't need or want.
Very good question. Just had this discussion today as a matter of fact. I feel that the children should get gifts just because of the fun and history of it but should also know it's true meaning. As far as adults go though, I feel that there is way too much emphasis and pressure on people to give gifts especially when some can't afford it. To some, that situation can be quite demeaning, awkward and depressing when they should really be celebrating. I think that it is a time to be thankful for the ultimate gift that we have already recieved in the birth of Jesus Christ. I also get frustrated when non-believers celebrate Christmas when they don't entertain it's true meaning. Just my opinion :-). Merry Christmas!!!

Does anyone know any person; a friend, neighbor, sibling, acquaintance, work mate e.t.c who is not a Christian? In the light of the Christmas mood and spirit, what gift do you think is best to share with such a person?
