What do you think of this Salvation Army story?
In another sad Salvation Army news story a sorry person punches a Salvation Army bell ringer in the face for saying happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas. I agree very much with saying Merry Christmas, but punching a bell ringer for not saying it is just plain wrong.
If I remember right, I just heard about this on the radio a few days ago. They had read about it. I think that the guy was arrested - I am not sure, I have forgotten now.
I agree with you though that it was wrong to punch 'The S.A.' person.
That is not nice. They were trained to say whatever they say. The person who did that is most likely in trouble now. They are not supposed to hit people, especially Salvation Army workers.
No, the person should not have hit the S.A. bell ringer. That is assault. People can say whatever they please but personally, I am tired of some people worrying about offending others. What about offending me by telling me happy holidays? What about offending me by taking Christ out of Christmas? What about offending me by taking God out of schools and making our country no longer "one nation under God" ??? THAT offends me!!
And that 'hoax' story about the little boy suspended from school for telling the atheist teacher 'Merry Christmas', if it weren't a hoax, then I would say 'suspend the teacher for being an atheist', its about the same thing!!
I think it is a pathetic illustration of what this country has become. I hope they throw the book at him for assault and make an example of him. We don't need this kind of behavior in the name of any god or no god at all.

What an admirable people the Japanese are. Their quiet, patient demeanor as they wait in blocks long lines to get the few groceries that are available really makes me weep. My heart just goes out to those people. God bless them.http://www.theaustralian.com.au/bundle- …...
