Valentines Day is coming!  What is on your wish list?

I am curious to see if there is a difference between new couples and been-together-since-dirt couples and what they want or expect from their partner on Cupid's Day.

We don't celebrate Valentine's Day. We are rather fond of each other every day and have been for 43 years. My ideal day would be to spend time together doing something fun, watching a favorite movie, cooking dinner together and making love.  That's a winner for me on any day.

I completely agree duffsmom!  I've rejected the commercialism of most of the holidays but I must admit I might be a little sad if I don't get a little chocolate.  The BEST gift for me would be a clean house.Congratulations on 43 years!!!

Well this response is a bit late but I do want to share my input. I have been with my boyfriend for awhile and this past valentines we didn't have expectations for much. What we wanted most was just to share some quality time together. I live in a city two hours away to finish up college and he is back in my hometown. So we are  temporarily doing long distance. Thankfully, we got to spend time together, he came to visit me. We watched movies, made dinner together, and had a lot of great communication. There was no roses, fancy chocolates, or date night out. We kept it very simple,  yet had so much fun. Its the small things! smile
