I see a lot of negativity in the forums, which is typical fare for an online forum - but come on guys and gals - this is Christmas! And Christmas is about forgiveness and moving on to what we all hope to be a better year, right?
So, I propose an idea. Think of something you said or did this past year (online or offline) and offer your apologies. Perhaps, by everyone showing they have had a moment they feel wasn't their best we can all appreciate that none of us are perfect and all just as likely to falter as the next.
Of course, I would never ask others to do that which I am unwilling to do myself, so I'll get the ball rolling.
My apology revolves around arguing with others over evolution in the religious forums. While I might have my views on evolution, it's not a religious topic, and therefore I should have never argued it there. For that, I apologize, and I have already resolved not to do so again.
So, anyone else willing to show a bit of subtle humility and ask for forgiveness?
Good Idea. I apologize and forgive too.
Peace on earth and happy new year.
I'm sorry for briefly entertaining the thought of highjacking this thread.
Merry ****ing X-mas!
I apologize to prettydarkhorse for making her cry, more than twice I think.
I'm trying to forgive, but no one should make her cry.
If you did it twice it might be interpreted as a stutter.
I know, the sweetest little thing on hubpages. Wanna kick my ass?
It's time to come correct, I'm sorry I'm mean to the liberals, gays, progressives, ACLU, loose women, hill country dogs, men who wear womens underwear, NOW, PETA, telemarkers(ski), enviromental nazis, islama nazis, Illinois nazis, people who don't mow their lawn, people who can't drive, tattle-tails, cry-babys, bully's, whimps, pansys, fruitcakes, spitters, women who can't get a handle on their hair, goths, women that hit and atheists. If I've offended you and you weren't in a subgroup of those listed, I'm sorry. I really am sorry, I'm crushed. So I'll ask Santa for stronger meds so I'll be numb to your ridiculus reasons for being you! Merry Christmas!
I can't begin to perceive why you would chose to post this in a thread dedicated to a nice gesture, but this thread is about forgiveness ... and so, I forgive you for what you have said.
I posted this thread with the intent of allowing others to lift this year's burdens from their shoulders. After all, Christmas is stressful enough. But I suppose Christmas isn't a holiday for all.
Everyone of those listed I've either taunted or made fun of! I apologized for not understanding where they are coming from. It was meant to be funny and slip in a apology by showing it isn't them it's my fault. Sorry I wasn't clear.
I understand it better now. Thanks Sneaks!
Thankfully I only made it for transgressions performed this year, or else I would have to apologize in tomes for all I did to my little brother growing up! Poor little guy - doh!
One of the best Blues Brother's lines.

Yoshi-- yours was a nice gesture in the spirit of the season-- and it should be encouraged. Let it be-- not everyone will respond in kind, and some are just being flippant. it is what it is. Cheers and happiness to all who will receive.
very nice gesture Yoshi, I hope all can calm down here~~
peace to all this holiday season.
I told AW that she got something wrong with her for... I won't rehash it.
Regardless, a apologized to her.
2 hours later, somebody opened a new thread demanding that people apologize to AW.
I apologize that I blew that second one off.
You apologized ... without need of a thread telling you to do so ... to me that is noble.
Thanks pal
I was upset. I don't normally behave like that.
We all have our 'out of the box' moments, but if we can look at our behavior and say 'that wasn't normal for me' then we are telling ourselves that we normally behave much better.
Christmas is a time to forgive, and yes, let me add this- forget.
Since it's easy to forgive than forget, let's just put this two-gether, for the true spirit of the season. I forgive all those who believe I can't be a better hubber. LOL! Merry Christmas to One and All!
It is good, to not let the sun go down, on any wrath. I believe Christmas, is also about Love:) Without Love there may not be any forgiveness. Yet, without forgiveness there is not love...(thinking outloud now, yoshi:) "Merry Christmas!"

About ForgivenessWhat do you think of Forgiveness??? is it overrated, or is it really one of the steps towards enlightenment?? Share your thoughts with me and the other Hubbers if you like.

What do you think of people saying, "I'm sorry" Does it really make everything okay or right?Do you think saying sorry for something still makes everything 'right' between you and another person? Do you think it carries as much meaning now as it used to in the past? Or do you think it's...

I'm part of a family full of people who don't say I'm sorry. I had to actually learn how to say those words. My mother never said I'm sorry to me for some of the hurtful things she said and did.Have you ever had moments with family or friends where you couldn't utter those two words? Why?
