Do you know a ghost story?

I love ghost stories. Can you tell me one? I'm not looking for links to sites with ghost stories. I would like to hear your own or stories you have heard from someone you know.

Yes indeed, before I was born "me" granddad, Vinton Connor, a schooner Owner/Captain was driving with two ladies from Black Rock to Harborville along the coastal road when they were flagged down by a "person" that looked like his ship's cook. The "person" was swaying a lantern. It was a spirit, after stopping briefly they drove on to Harborville and gladly left the spirit behind. Interestingly enough, When our family use to frequent Disney World, in particular the end of the Haunted Mansion ride was a significant association for me. There was a ghost hitch hiking swaying a lamp and he hitches a ride...
When Captain Peter arrived his schooner was not in port. What is so interesting was the fact that the ship sunk directly off the coast from where the spirit flagged him down. The cook and one other drowned in this incident...

Wow, that was quite fascinating, and I like your picture too. Incidentally, I will be going to Disney World soon, and definitely will be visiting the Haunted Mansion. I'll remember your story when I'm there smile Thank you for sharing.

I wish I could of heard this story directly from my grandfather, yet he passed on before I could ask him. My aunt and mother shared this with me when I was about 18...
