Many times when people have paranormal experiences they keep them to themselves. Other times people will dismiss the experience off as being stress related or lack of sleep. read more

Ghosts (demons, devils, negative energies, etc.) though neither visible to the gross eye, nor perceived by the other sense organs, mind and intellect are factors that affect all of mankind. The manifestations of distress due to ghosts or negative energies are varied, and can be from a person displaying uncharacteristic behaviour to erratic violent behaviour, addictions, various physical and psychological illnesses, family problems, business problems etc. The Spiritual Science Research Foundation has done extensive research in this field and has over 1000 hours of video footage capturing this phenomenon. We present in a scientific manner so as to demystify this phenomenon. This will help our readers in recognising and treating the adverse effects caused by ghosts (demons, devils, negative energies, etc.) through proven methodology according to the Spiritual science.

    1. Omprakash, a resident of Dubai, UAE was addicted to smoking cigarettes for 11 years despite innumerable efforts to quit smoking. In a workshop conducted by the Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF), he came to know about the spiritual root cause of addiction as well as the spiritual healing remedies for it. He immediately took up the spiritual healing remedy of chanting and overcame his addiction within 7 days. This article is based on a telephonic interview with him on 2nd October 2006.
    2. This is a case study of Anupama Rane who at the age of 20 years lost all her hair on her head suddenly and without any apparent reason. She tried various conventional treatments to no avail. Finally in a spiritual healing session conducted by His Holiness Dr. Athavale, her difficulty was overcome. In this interview she describes how all this came about.
    3. Pam suffered from a severe stomach pain and menstrual bleeding for over three weeks. Medicines did not help. It was only after taking up the spiritual healing number chant that the pain began to subside and excessive menstrual bleeding was alleviated.

Once when I was at my granny's house in Bikaner, India, I had gone to the market with my grandfather and I saw a man wearing black robes, running like anything. His robe was like a raincoat. I was not able to see his face but this scared me out of my wits. I went inside a shop. I did not mention it to anyone. I think you understand why. Then when I was back home (to my granny's), I was roaming outside in the verandah, to my horror, i saw the same man running in the same lane where my granny's house was (he ran past our house). I ran inside slamming the door so hard that I caught everyone’s attention but was not able to gather the courage to tell it to anyone. That was about 10 years ago but the picture is so clear in my mind as if it was yesterday. I do not know if it was a ghost or not.

Yes,  I have had experiences with angles or ghosts since I was a child, although no one believed me.  Funny how we are taught to believe in angels but when we tell our parents that we have seen one, they dismiss it as childhood imagination.  Don't easily dismiss what your child tells you, they are more connected with the spiritual world than most people realize.  I am now a middle aged woman and still am visited by angels - some I know (my Grandfather) and some strangers.

yes i have mannnyyy!! i just created a hub on it. in fact it was my first one lol. Well for one i have a gift of seeing spirits and them interacting with me it's quite complicated and weird. I still don't understand it if you read my hub i'm asking people for help on some clarification if anyone knows more about it than i do. But my first real experience with a spirit was with my step dad when he died. he haunted our house. he would randomly turn t.v's on and once our computer had a virus !! and my dad used to fix it all the time well this was a day after he passed we didnt even have the funeral yet. me my sisters and a bunch of my other cousins and such saw a yellow light upstairs it was going through our filing cabinet and it was typing on the computer. By the time i made it to the top of the stairs my favorite game was on and it was on my saved game i forgot everything i was scared about and finished playing and beat my game. The CD wasnt even in the disc drive but i turned the computer off like a dummy and went to tell my mom the next day and the virus was still there. I know I'm not crazy because my sisters, and cousins were right there with me. It was amazing lol

I have a ghost story to tell from my stepfather. He was driving home one night late at night on old hwy. 41 in Florida. About a hundred yards in front of him he saw a figure of what appeared to be a young girl in a flowing white gown cross the road in front of him. Both sides of the road held a canal and heavily wooded area. He slowed down and looked to the side of the road where she had crossed into the woods, but saw nothing. He sped up and there she was again crossing the road from the same side she had crossed from before. This time he slammed on his breaks as she entered the woods on the side of the road. He got out and ran toward the side calling out to her thinking she may have been lost or hurt, but she was gone. He was not about to cross the canal to enter the woods as these canals were murky and dark and sometimes held the native, often agressive, florida alligator. He turned to go back to his truck and noticed he had left footprints from the dew on the road. He went to the front of his truck and examined the ground where he thought the girl had walked across the road-no foot prints. My step dad got in and drove home. Several weeks later we read in the paper a young girl about 14 who had been missing for several years had been found dead in the woods just past the canal near the area my stepfather had seen his 'ghost'. The paper said she had disappeared one night while walking the family dog and had been wearing a long white night gown. Scary!

I started seeing and hearing "ghosts" (we'll call them ghosts so nothing is confusing) at a young age. My sister and I used to stay with our grandmother on the weekends and while we had two separate bedrooms, we played together and sometimes slept - or tried to sleep - in the same room - my sisters room. But usually one of us had to leave. Whenever we were together in that bedroom, something knocked on the wall three times. It wasn't something from outside like anyone would think - we tested that theory by our grandmother going outside and watching around that corner of the house for someone while I sat at the window and watched her to make sure she wasn't the one knocking either. Then - "knock... knock... knock.." that's exactly what it sounded like and it couldn't be explained. How could it be something in the walls such as a squirrel? It ONLY happened when my sister and I were in the room together. She could sleep in there for the rest of the night without any disturbances at all. Furthermore, in that same bedroom was a closet that has plagued me my entire life. I have nightmares about it. A woman that I cannot see comes out of the closet and tries to drag me in and kill me. I cannot scream, I cannot fight. I cannot even see her but somehow I know she's a woman and I know she wants to kill me. What's worse, I did some research on the house (which was incredibly and oddly difficult to find) and found that decades ago, a woman killed herself as well as he daughter in that closet because she found out that her husband was sleeping around. To this day, I refuse to go in that bedroom. I haven't set foot through the doorway of that bedroom in about eight years.

In that same house, my grandmother used to tell us stories about sitting at the kitchen table watching the little television and out of the corner of her eye seeing something white and almost transparent slide by. When she turned to look, it slid into the living room doorway and vanished. Other stories include seeing faces behind you in the windows of someone with red curly hair while washing dishes, music boxes and globes start to play music on their own even after we taped the knobs in one position, the rocking chair rocked back and forth, and most recently, my aunt saw something in the house last Christmas - a woman standing in the middle of the room and staring at her. My aunt looked towards it for about fifteen seconds and slowly the apparition faded away...

I could tell you numerous accounts of ghost stories I have encountered over my life. As a paranormal investigator I guess the most interesting  ghosts I encountered was at the Northern State Mental Hospital. While there we captured not only several evps but a great photo of an apparition by a friend. Check it out on my Real Ghost Photos hub page to see it for yourself. That is one of the scariest places I had the priveledge to investigate. From slamming doors, a sense of forboding, sadness, rage, confusion, and so much more. Constant feelings of the hair on my arms and back of my neck standing on end. Several people with us  being overwhelmed with emotion. You have to really  prepare your mind before entering that place

Not only have I had expriences, but my hubby and also his mom have. I have been told I am an "intituitive", which is supposed to be someone who is especially sensitive to the spiritual world, and supposedly "they" are attracted to me and try to communicate with me. I have written one hub about my husband and when he worked at the Opera House in town, but am getting ready to write another about my own experiences. Great question, and you're right-to read about others experiences DOES make you feel not so alone...

I was waking home from an Hawaiian fancy dress party - grass skirt and all - through the tiny village of Southam in Gloucestershire, UK, which is near to Prestbury (most haunted village in England) I was aware of something behind me, it was 3am and I will admit to being a little drunk, my companions were about 30 metres in front of me. I then was aware of the presence behind me getting closer, I turned around to see a glowing grey light in the shape of what looked like a monk, with the hood of his cowl up walking briskly as if to catch me up - I legged it and sprintied past my companions at speed....when we reached my friends house he explained that yes I had seen something, that it was the headless monk and not to worry about it as he had seen him before and that he was a local celebrity......crazy - don' drink tequila to excess my friends....

I saw a ghost. No. I felt the presence of a ghost. No. I memorised the photo of someone who used to live on this street before they died and I hallucinated them walking around outside on Sunday mornings while I was collecting the newspaper. Yes. Then I asked the new neighbour if he could do the same thing. He tried and he could. So we used to meet outside on Sundays every week without fail to witness the ghost. This was scary, until we decided to exorcise the ghost. We decided to buy and share a boat. Did this work. Yes, by changing the nature of the street and Sundays. Still I have to remind you, that we both saw the ghost.

One night I was staying at my hubs parents house while they were out of town.  They use to tell me that their dead (brother/uncle to my hubs) is sometimes seen in the hallway near the front door.

Of course I ignored it because I of course am much to rational to believe in ghost.  So one night I woke up for no apparent reason, I think my arm was cold actually...

In threw the bedroom door was a black shadow of a tall male, skinny like my hubs and tall like him too.  I screamed of course and went back to sleep out on the living room couch.

When his folks returned I told them about it and they said, "Yeah that is Dale", I said, "No, this ghost was tall and skinny like Jeff."  They laughed.  They said, "Oh no Dale looks more like Jeff then he does Dave."

Dave and Dale are twins.  Dave is shortish and stalky, Jeff is tall and skinny and all that time I thought that Dale and Dave were identical twins.

My Aunt once lived in a house that was haunted. My cousin and I were in her room once when I spent the night and her little pink fan across the room kept turning itself on and off one night after we had just turned out the light.

I also heard the car doors opening and slamming shut continuously from the garage through the living room wall another time during the day. The garage was all locked up and there was no-one in there. My Aunt said they heard that all the time.

Here is a story that really is scary.
A woman had a four-year-old daughter named Jaime who you would not exactly call...normal. Jaime's classmates teased her for that. One day, Jaime came home crying, so the woman decided to buy her daughter a gift. She drove down to the dollar store, and looked around. She found a doll with four fingers, and she knew that Jaime would love it. She went to the cash register to pay for it. "Sorry, ma'am, but I can't sell you this doll," the cashier said. "Oh, please, my daughter will love it!" "Nope, sorry." "What if I pay you ten dollars?" the lady asked. "No." "One hundred dollars?" "Sorry." "A million?" "Well, okay. But you have to promise me one thing." "What?" she asked. "Don't leave your daughter alone with the doll at night." "Okay," the woman agreed, not planning to actually listen--what would be so bad about leaving her daughter alone with a doll? That night, the woman tucked Jaime into bed, and left the doll with four fingers on the dresser on the other side of the room. She left the room and turned off the light. Suddenly, Jaime heard a small voice from across the room singing, "Jaime, I'm taking one step!" Then she heard a thump on the floor. "Jaime, I'm taking a second step!" the voice sang, again. "Jaime, I'm taking a third step! Jaime, I'm climbing," the voice sang, sounding a lot closer to her, and Jaime heard some scratching on wood. "Jaime, I'm going to kill you." The next morning, the woman went into Jaime's room to find her daughter dead with the four fingered doll sitting on the bed with a knife in her hand.

I started experiencing paranormal phenomena since the age of 4. I'm a mature man now and still experience the paranormal. The following story happened to me about 6 years ago. I used to live in a haunted apartment in NYC. Weird stuff started happening after a neighbor who lived upstairs moved next door to me. That neighbor (female) was middle aged and lived alone. Every time I ran into her, she looked more "disturbed" than the previous time. She kept complaining that someone would break into her apartment almost every day while she would be at work  and she would come back home to find things on the floor or thrown about. She kept calling the police but they did not believe her because there would never be signs of forced entry and they just simply thought she was out of her mind. I mistakenly thought the same.

One particular evening when I was getting back home from work, I found her door open and from the hallway I could see her apartment was dark. I immediately thought of "the robbers" but, from a distance, I could see her sitting on a chair at one end of her dark living room. I asked her if everything was OK. She got up, turned the lights on and said "no, they're not, because there are these things that show up and don´t leave me alone." She asked me to step inside to show me. Things were thrown about the floor, the living room walls had some weird looking stains on them, as if they had been leaking something reddish and there was this hole at the corner of the ceiling.

I felt chills and an evil presence. She showed me her small bathroom, walls were stained and even the bathtub. It was a windowless bathroom. As I exited the bathroom, I told her to say a prayer and get some rest. As I said that, a force slammed shut the bathroom door as if a tornado had done it! When that lady saw the look on my face she told me that was part of the hell she was experiencing and asked me to leave quickly. When I got back to my apartment, I then knew why my apartment was haunted, because whatever followed her when she moved in next door decided to haunt my apartment.

After having experienced that evil in my neighbor's apartment, the next morning I awoke to a poltergeist experience. Some force was violently shaking my bed and I wound up falling as I tried getting out of bed quickly. That same day, when I got back home from work, several of my pots & pans where on the kitchen floor. My neighbor moved & things began to calm down, but I moved also. Too many bad memories!
