Have you ever attempted an alternative holiday tradition?
While Christmas is really not my deal - in fact, any holiday that occurs during the winter isn't really my thing - I decided to embrace a different aspect of Thanksgiving. I hosted a vegan Thanksgiving with two goals in mind: 1) to show that we could enjoy a delicious meat free dinner and b) to gather people for the sake of seeing and being with other people, not for the food or the football game. It was a great experience.
Have you ever experimented?
It's a great thing. Some special touch to enjoying holidays and get-together. And meat-free, I like it very much. I sometimes offer treats like this only for meeting my relatives and spending some time happily. It does not need any festival or birthday celebration to do such things.
