Do you think people should go to church on Easter Sunday?

If so, should people go to church year round? Why?
If not, is there ever a time when people should go to church? Explain.

If you are Catholic or Christian believer, yes I think you should go to church to celebrate Jesus resurrection day.
I go to church every Sunday. why? because I just love to praise and worship the Lord with other believers (It's about six thousand members and we have to hold three times services on Sundays).

If you never visit the church, try to visit there on Easter Sunday or Christmas. Church is for everybody, like Jesus.

Thanks for the answer febriedethan. I like how you connected Jesus & Church being for everyone. What about the people who do not love to praise and worship the Lord? What if there are people who aren't believers? What motivates them to go to chur

That does make sense. Without Easter then Christ, who rose from the dead, would not have paid our price and risen to defeat death. So, will everyone rise from the dead in the end?

actually, if you are a christian, you have to go to church on every sunday and easter day. But, I am a holy cow, although I am a catholic, my hubby a buddhist, I have not step into church since I was married.

peachy, if you are a Christian, and all Christians have to go to church every Sunday then why don't you go to church? Or, do you believe you have ceased to be a Christian? Are you separating Catholics from Christians? Just wondering. Thank you.

People who are Christian and have membership in a church should go on Sundays and on Easter Sunday. I think being a part of the faith community, interacting with others, and being active in the ministries are important aspects of living out who you profess to be as a Christian.
I personally believe the Easter is the most important day on the church calendar because of what it represents: resurrection, renewal, a fresh start. I don't like to see people show up on Easter Sunday just because. I think Easter is a good time to renew one's faith and come back to church if they've been away.
Should it be mandatory to go all year 'round, every Sunday? Not necessarily. It's not always practical when other things are going on in one's life. Ideally, I think you get more out of it if attendance is regular. I wrote hub on this subject. Thanks for asking the question, John.

Hi Janis, Thank you for your answer. I think that makes sense, to live out who you profess to be. I like the point about resurrection and renewal as well; people can renew faith and go back to church, but not just to make an Easter appearance. Good!

Yes they should. Anytime they choose to worship, here the Word and give thanks to the Lord should be a welcomed time. They should go as often to keep grounded in His righteousness. The children need to follow the examples of the parents as well.
