This was a very special article, Dora. It really teaches givers how to receive. Dear fellow writers, please give this article a read. You will learn something useful. Here is the link:

Dora, I am very much of a giver and fail at receiving. Your article showed me receiving is an act of love, and giving doesn't have much meaning without receiving. My most favorite quote is below:
    9. "I have a saying: Receive everything—decide later, which reminds me to be open to possibilities instead of closing the doors too quickly before I've had the opportunity to sit with something new." ―Amanda Owen

Excellent article and some great quotes, Dora. The art of receiving is challenging simply because we as humans only want to receive something that satisfies our wishes and ego.

For example, when somebody praises us, we want to receive it.But when somebody points out our shortcomings, we feel sad and try to avoid it as it affects our self-esteem. That is why the art of receiving anything and everything is essential to lead a life of purpose. Thanks for sharing these great quotes

Thanks, Rosina, for sharing Dora's work.

Dora has created a lovely article with a great collection of quotes. The quotations are definitely worth thinking about and keeping in mind. Some people often think about giving, which is an important activity, but the ability to receive gratefully is also important.

    Ms. Dora...
    My favorite one
    2. "When you graciously receive, you give others the gift of giving." ―Ray A. Davis

It's so important to receive...although sometimes it's difficult...we should just say thank you.

It truly does make others feel good.

    Great quotes.

Thanks Rosina for sharing this important topic of being a gracious and accepting receiver as well as a giver.  I think that it is quite common that more people find it easier to give than receive, but both are important.
