Pink Christmas Trees, Ornaments, Lights and Stockings
Happy Pink Christmas!
Thinking of having a pink Christmas? Want to go all out pink for this years celebration? If you're looking for a pink tree, decorations, lights and all things generally Christmassy and pink then below, you are bound to find what you're looking for!
There's a great range of pink Christmas items available these days, more than ever before. Whatever your reason for deciding to have a pink Christmas it's sure to be a bright one! I think maybe if in the UK we had Christmas during Summer, that due to the weather I would enjoy it more. I just don't like Winter and it's unfortunate that Christmas happens during that period. However, having started thinking about all things Christmassy and pink, my mood about Christmas has definitely lightened up! A pink Christmas is definitely the way forward!
Pink Christmas Trees
If you're looking for a pink tree there's a few different styles to choose from. From little to big, pre-decorated to feathery, the choice is yours! There's something so uplifting about the colour pink, it really does put a smile on your face. Traditional? No, Bright, vibrant and fun? Yes!
One of the things that bugs me about Christmas is the colours. I'm not a big fan of the traditional red and green theme, I think it looks dated and dull. These pink trees are super modern and definitely bring a bit of brightness to what would usually be drab. A pink Christmas is a refreshing new way of celebrating the holiday.
If you're having a pink Christmas then you've got to consider having a pink tree. It's the focus point in any home and will look fabulous once decorated and lit up with all the presents underneath.
Pink Christmas Ornaments
Christmas ornaments come in all shapes and sizes, but you can't go wrong with baubles. Even if you're not going for an all out pink Christmas, bright pink ornaments would make a great addition to any tree, no matter what the colour.
We actually have a strange way of decorating our tree at home. When we moved in to our apartment, we didn't actually own a tree or any decorations. My parents bought our tree for us as a gift, and instead of buying ornaments for the tree we decorate it with my vast collection of costume jewellery, mainly ornate earrings that I never wear any more and colourful bangles. It looks quite effective!
Due to the small size of our apartment, we only have a small tree, but if we had more space I would definitely be investing in some lovely pink ornaments to decorate it with.
Pink Christmas Lights
I'm always amazed by the people who decorate their houses with christmas lights. It must take ages and plenty of electricity! I love driving around looking at the houses that have been decorated, they look so festive and fun. Christmas lights are lovely, they make the home feel so cosy. Christmas and lights just go together, I remember as a child, being driven around by my parents in London's West End to see all the Christmas illuminations. They were simply magical.
As I mentioned, I'm not a Winter girl, but I do find the idea of a snow covered house with pink lights shining as quite appealing. It's a shame, but you don't see that many houses decorated for Christmas in this part of London. Maybe the occasional lights in a window, but not much more than that. When I lived on the South Coast of England, lots of people used to decorate their houses, it was so much nicer to see.
Pink Christmas Stockings
Everyone needs a Christmas stocking for all those little stocking filler goodies. There's something so romantic about the traditional Christmas picture of stockings hanging over a fireplace. Unfortunately, living in an apartment leaves little room for hanging a stocking on a fireplace mantle - we don't have one!
Still, improvisation is key. It doesn't matter if you don't have that romantic, cosy fireplace, there's always somewhere to hang a stocking!
