Come Sit By Me A While : Enlightening Moments.
Good morning my friends and what a wonderful morning it is !!!!
Sun shining ;garden blooming and enlightening moments !!!!
Since my very first day with you all on here which is over three years ago now I have grown as a writer and a person.
My writing was limited to articles ; short stories and rhyming poetry.
Today I delve deeper when I am in creating mode ;which seems to be most of the time lately ha ha..
I write poetry in Haiku ,Rictameter,Freeverse and Acrostic.
I have also becoming a fanatical photographer maybe not world class but good enough for me and how I love sharing them all with you.
Then slowly but surely I have been bitten by the crafty bug!!!
This week has seen me totally immersed and almost addicted to creating Collages from my photos.
Hence this wonderful image and quote I found on Facebook.
I have always been the world's worst in lacking self confidence; not believing in myself and playing down any gifted traits. However we owe it to ourselves to believe!!
I have had so many wonderful comments for my photography and Collages but I was drawn down the road of yesteryear once again ;if only for a few moments;
"Anyone can point a camera and take a photo.!!"
Or
"It's the apps that I use that create the collages for me !!!"
I am not blowing my own trumpet at all but have to stress that we are all gifted in one way or another but like me there must be so many of you out there who due to being belittled by so many throughout your lives simply do not believe in yourselves ; in your self worth and in your talents.
I was told by parents that I was not good at anything ; then for 26 years repeatedly told by my abusive ex that I was again no good at anything ;actually his favourite phrase was that I was f.............up like the rest of my family !!!
Today I say all this with a self satisfied smile on my face ; where am I today and what did any of them achieve ????
I need say no more!!!
So please to you all you non-believers out there :-
"Stand up and in strong faith show the world who you are and how talented you are !!" "Believe in yourselves and allow that self worth to blossom."
Whenever I spend time immersed totally in all of Mother Nature's magical charm I fill myself with a feeling of cleansing a feeling of rejuvenation a feeling of self worth !!!!!
Right on this sunny morning gather your tea, coffee or juices and there are plates of biscuits and home made Welsh Cakes on offer today. Also for those of you who are watching the old waistline there are fat free offerings too !!!However this is what I should be eating too but I think I shall begin that diet tomorrow !!!The shame is tomorrow never comes ha ha ha!!!
As I told you all the other day I am in the midst of creating another "Step Back In Time " story using the photos we took when on holiday but haven't had time to complete it yet so I thought that I would share some of my photos from Sherwood Forest but not the ones concerning Robin Hood as I am keeping them just for that particular hub.
I hope you enjoy !!!!
A wondrous image
Birds on the wing so cherished
Cruel wars to end.
Such serenity
Much beauty to understand
Home amidst despair.
There lies a great truth
Many prayers to be answered
Hope and faith prevail.
With a happy heart
footsteps echo
that skipping
tone;
to taste
to cherish
to treasure.
Songbird's charm
adding magical
moments
to aid in
facing up to a love
from deep writhing.
A love so strong
so wondrous;
a warmth like no other
compared to the cocoon of a feathered nest.
The forest's heart
invites with such wondrous awe
all to her bosom
to feel
and
to find a love
of unconditional worth.
Each note
seeped in happiness,
sweet
serenity
in abundance
playing with a sweet lightness;
dancing with the breeze above.
To head for home
glistening with hearts and jewels;
sparkling with hope
Immersed in faith
filled with love
so true
so unconditional
so eternal.
Each leaf a moment
Branches are wondrous footings
The root of great love.
Each fresh prayer answered
Despair turned to golden love
Sprinkled with dewdrops.
A warm sun-filled glen
Paved with the sweetness of life
Nature's bright jewels.
The pain of great loss
The truth now so crystal clear
That soothing cool balm.
Forests
of Mother Nature's
emerald green kingdom.................
sunshine
of a happy
golden yellow future.....................
skies of deep
heartfelt promises
blue magical wonders.......................
raindrops
those dewdrops
glistening
from heaven..........................
shadows
soft images
of wondrous souls
flowing...........................................
The Famous Major Oak.
Hope fills each brave heart
Faith a wondrous foundation
Love a blossom true.
I accept my world so true
I expect each new dawn; each new era; sometimes tinged with sadness
I appreciate my beautiful world; my family and all my dear friends.
A feather soft kiss
sweetness filled breath
plays on my heartstrings
my world
my paradise.
For every lost soul
a flower will grow;
with each new dawn
Self belief will flow.
x
Above each storm
and lightening's glow
Through a rainbow
Self belief will flow
x
From each sad prayer
Happiness will grow;
From deep in your heart
Self belief will flow.
My first collage from my Sherwood Forest photos.
Well I hope that you all enjoyed this visit and would like to leave you with this thought.
Not only look out for your own way forward but reach out to others also and help them on their way.
Some sincere words of praise can go a very long way !!!
Here's to wishing you all a wonderful day and lots of love from my little corner of Wales until next time.
