Well please come in and it is so nice to see you all again ; we had a wonderful holiday and crammed so much into four days !!!!

As many of you know we visited Nottingham in England ;a place which neither of us have been to before.

When we arrived on the Sunday we explored a little of the city before driving to our B&B which was about 4 miles away in a wonderful suburb called Mapperley.

Our B&B was called Sunny Mount ;was a truly beautiful and restful haven.

It was home from home and if we do return then this will again be our chosen B&B without a single doubt. The whole place and Jen and Naemi were so friendly and nothing was too much bother.

I have asked their permission to include them in my 'Steps Back In Time' series.

Bad weather had been forecasted so we were forewarned !!! However Sunday and also Monday were wonderful sunny days ; thereafter it rained but we were not bothered as we explored and lost ourselves in the wonderful historic charms and as you can guess our cameras clicking away non-stop.

It was maybe just a little disappointing that the castle was totally renovated to museums but we soon lost ourselves in the mystique and beauty which was still so evident all a round us.

On Tuesday we explored The Galleries of Justice and The City of Caves ; on Wednesday we explored Sherwood Forest also known as Robin Hood World.

We have so many photos of all these historic gems.

When I first began writing on HubPages I created many hubs titled 'Steps Back In Time' and have decided to once again compose many more in this series . I have not had time to create one by today hence this historic photo story enhanced with poetry.

I am hoping to have my first in this series published on Monday.

Now then aren't we lucky the sun is shining today and I am sure that our haven seems to have truly blossomed in the days we were away !!

Before I go any further I have to share some wonderful news with you all.

We came home to one of the most wonderful gifts ever; a new gorgeous grandson Kian .

There are now twelve grandchildren in all and each one as precious as the first !!!

Right as always tea and coffee on the table and as a treat some scones with jam and cream !!Let's just not worry about those waistlines today !!!

Enjoy !!!

I hope you all enjoyed today's visit and I am now looking forward to creating my first 'Step Back In Time' hub for a very long time .

Take care of each other and as you go about your days stop to think of the very many historic legends which would have occurred on your own doorstep or further afield.

Take time to research if you so wish and maybe you will be surprised by your findings.

After all it's the gems of days gone by that have formed much of what surrounds us today.

Lots of love to you all from my little corner of Wales.

Eddy.

Another photo of our gorgeous Kian to end today's visit .
