This Child in Us -- Inside a Children's mind

Updated on September 22, 2012

Stars and heavens

open up to give way to

a wonderful occasion

made with God's unique imagination

clouds and blue skies

witness the coming of

age of a new life that

will be a blessed creation

being born with a mission

to carry God's message

holding tight hand in hand

to our new mom

who warm our feeble little body

kisses, embraces and making sure

no one is there to cause us harm

The first sign is seeded

the first smile flourishes as we open our eyes

to a cold world in the middle of a night

the first hug always needed

so good to feel loved, so good and so right,

developing our thoughts within peace of mind

we grow by the hour and the day

but if loved was instilled from

the start

the link with heaven and earth

will never be broken apart

as the years pass by

people will see in us

overwhelming feelings

that few will be able to grasp as we look

eye to eye with no bad intentions,

not at all deceiving

The kid in us will follow us to the end

having fun like no one else

smiling openly with a diaphanous mind

no money will be needed

to play on that street

no fear, no worries and not even at risk

of feeling weak

The child in us will end his days with a sweet sleep

and a clear notion

that his life was not in vain

ready to meet his creator again

since only as children we will see heavens and be ready

to meet 'you' at the other end...

Glad to hear from you, and honored to read your comments. Like you said, deep inside we have this child...that have to act his/her actual age and keep on going on the day to day business. No wonder everybody still love Disney and those trips to Orlando, Florida.

you did add your own experiences to this inspiration of mine. Certainly, we are kids playing our adult life. Bet you...that more of our hubber friends will agree. Know some of them, but cannot break commitments. Have a wonderful night!

Beautiful. It took me back to days where I would ride my bike with my friends through the safe streets of our neighborhood. I enjoyed this - thanks!
