Are you on the "young adult" book bandwagon? If so - what is your favorite book or series?

(Recent popular series include The Hunger Games and Twilight)

Hunger Games is 1,000 X better than Twilight and I liked Twilight so that's saying a lot :-)

I like the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. Also the Enclave series by Ann Aguirre and I like the books Cassandra Claire is writing - the Mortal Instruments and Infernal Device series are both great and somewhat related.

I'm definitely on the Young Adult bandwagon, mostly because I want to write YA novels and I like expanding my horizon when it comes to different styles of YA books.

Most recently, I really love Divergent by Veronica Roth. I also love anything written by John Green (Paper Towns, Looking for Alaska or The Fault in Our Stars) and Ellen Hopkins (the Crank series, Impulse, Identical).

I think young adult books have enormous potential for readers of all ages. My favorite is Harry Potter with the Hunger Games in a close second and Percy Jackson in third. Never really got into the paranormal romance genre; it's just not my thing.

I feel stupid for not mentioning Harry Potter - every book in that series was amazing.

Harry Potter I would say is more "children's lit" that young adult - but it is great fun! It's shelved in the kid section rather than the young adult section in book stores at least :-) Young Adult usually has a bit more grown up themes
