   There are a few words for the meaning of proselytization. These words  are convert, convince.transform,adopt. When you want to invite someone to your church.  You do not used these words. Because  some people are not ready to change their religion fast. Only by a miracle, people change their religion fast. For the word evangelization,  You are the best example .If you are living the religion. I hope these words help you in your search.

   I'm sorry, but I would call it "intruding on peoples' private time and space in their own homes, attempting to brainwash them into another way of thinking."
   Pestering and annoying are other words I would use for this practice.
   
   I believe religion is something best done as a personal thing, and that folks should mind their own houses, and mind their own business.  I find proselytizing to be obnoxious behavior, whether it is street-corner preaching or door-knockers.

      DON'T be sorry at all. IT'S TRUE, intrusive, meddling, hemorrhoidic people. I was going to say another word but must bide my vitriolic, vituperative, viperish, and venomous tongue. Gosh darn!

   Coming on too strong, but many have benefited from the experience through the length of their lives (but found their own middle ground within the essence of the message).
