    Attention all published book authors, can you answer this please?

    What was it like to finally hold YOUR book in YOUR hands with YOUR title and name on the front cover?

    It's really like dream come true... if you're going to write a book in the future.. you going to feel it someday.

    Even though it's not about the name on it's cover but mostly for the ideas that I want to share inside the book. Great

    It felt like Christmas.  I felt like I finally had a wonderful, finished product.  For me, yes my name on the cover is still a thrill to see.  Good question.

    Long Term ?

    Without a massive budget for sale promotion and marketing you will find the elation short lived.

    A bit like wetting yourself in dark trousers.... You will get a nice warm feeling for a little while but only you will know and it doesn't last for too long !

    Very appreciative for the replies everyone.  It's always a great advantage to actually find the answers you seek "straight from the horses mouth", in this case, ones of experience like yourselves.  I have yet to achieve completion of writing & publishing my book but I do look forward to that moment where I too, can hold my book in my hands.  Many thanks again.
