The clouds dark and moving fast
as waves passing one beneath the other
I'm staying out here though
I'll not run for cover
The hair on my neck stands
in the realization of chance
But I ....I will take them too
ahh this thunder dance
The winds hiss through the screen porch
they cool my anxst and anger
No there's no threat to the storms
I will face down the danger
Dark saunters in and the rain begins
to pelt the tin roof above
This unknown eternally electrified
this presence of danger I love
Okay, okay... I'll appreciate the torrential downpour that I was just blessed with; since you put it so eloquently
Not me! I'd run to the basement! haha.
But I like the poem, the rhythm and intensity of it!
As lightning continues to flash
And a bolt of thunder
Makes its mark
While the wind whips
Just love storms
