    What  classical novel incites you to write?

    Wow... Hmm... I've loved reading so long, it's hard to pin down specifics, but I find JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings series and CS Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia to be inspirations for me.  Though I also try to draw a little on Dicken's books, such as A Christmas Carol, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes works.

    I find I'm also inspired a bit by mythology, particularly the Greek/Roman myths.  Since a lot of my work is based on fantasy, this really shouldn't be too surprising.

    I also find some modern day novels inspire me, too, such as Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series and David Eddings' Belgariad and Maloreon series.
