    Digital rights management.  It prevents works from being copied or duplicated. Common arguments against it are that it's useless against pirates and inhibits the customer's ability to enjoy the product on more than one media.

    I've heard this question asked a lot recently and it beggars belief!  Since when have people had the right to justify theft.  If something is too expensive you shouldn't buy it!  If you went into a DVD store and decided you thought it was too expensive, would you leave or would you shove one under your sweater?  If someone decides they want to sell something, that item should be for sale!  If you don;'t like the price don't moan and groan or steal - just accept it and look for something cheaper!!

    We would never have needed DRM if there was no piracy in the first place.
