I have a question: Is comments made on blogs, forums, and other websites considered public domain?
I am refering to comments made by the visitors to those kind of sites.
I would think so. If the public can read it, it's public domain.
No, they are not Public Domain. All that is technically required for a "copy right" is for the person to write it down. And with a time/date stamp from a website, it would be easily proven who had the intellectual idea first. However, you may quote them, if you give them proper credit.
