My name is Natalie Amaral. I spent most of my life in a small town called Kitimat, and moved to the Okanagan valley when I was 26. A year ago, I had moved here to the Omineca region. I had a series of jobs and volunteer work, but I always loved writing stories since I was 10 and started writing poetry when I was 21. Now, at the age of 37, I'm contemplating on scriptwriting.
I volunteer here at two different places, and I also workout at a gym. In addition to that, I walk about 30 minutes a day plus 30 minutes at home. It is a great way to pass the time.
Unfortunately, while I'm once again able to write poetry, I have suffered a serious writer's block for a few years now as I had suffered a serious case of depression. I'm hoping that I'm slowly overcoming the writer's block as more and more ideas are coming to me.
My profile can be found on " my profile"...........you are welcome to either read it, find it interesting.........or to choose to pass it by.
I will neither spoon feed you or beg your approval.
I am a writer. Some of my books were translated into English. I posted a few poems here ... on HubPages.
I'm not a poet, and have written only one fictional short story (happens to have been chosen as this week's Fascinating Fiction podcast if you feel like having something read to you....be warned though, it's short, but not sweet.)
But, my reason for answering is to recommend two (more, you already have some fine suggestions from other answerers) Hubbers whose creative work is, in my opinion, exceptional. They are,
kallini20 and twilight lawns
As well as new work, be sure to check out their 'back catalogue'.
If you're like me, you'll be captivated.
Sure, I write stories, mostly humorous, many involving cats. I have one bout Blondhilda, the newest of the Norse gods.

A few of us poets and creative writers have come up with the idea of creating our own website specifically for all forms of creative writing. The catalyst for this is HubPages decision to create niche websites for various subjects. However they have stated that poetry and creative writing will not...

What is your opinion of all the Hubs that are written as tributes to other Hubbers?I see a lot of Hubs written thanking followers and just tributes in general to them. I think that is a wonderful idea, but just wonder how they show up in Google search engines.

As Hub Pages is mainly about writing... So, I thought it will be nice if we knew the favorite authors of our fellow hubbers.

Why are some writers reluctant to share ideas? Others are very willing. Is it a competitive thing?Internet writing is so different. Does fear of copying enter into the picture? What other factors?

Why would you leave HubPages? HubPages needs you, fellow Hubbers need you! The world needs you! This site provides a wonderful format for writing and clearly displayed WORDS and TEXT! No one should feel "exiled." If you do, it is result of a too-active imagination! Tone it down a notch…...
