Do you still remember that first English writing assignment you had in high school?
Yes and that was, "Tell me about yourself". The writing assignment has to have all six senses; no usage of dead words and it has to be 3 pages long, less than three pages are zero. I also remember I was complaining about the assignment and fussing all over after class with my friend. lol...good old days...
I can't remember my first assignment....It was a lifetime ago!!...I do remember I loved the assignments and one that I handed in actually caused concern for the teacher as he couldn't believe it was fiction..It was about a deeply disturbed child and what was going on in their mind .I don't know what inspired me to write the essay and I had a happy up bringing, which was what concerned the teacher. I do remember the teacher asking to use the piece for something....I have no copies of that or anything else I wrote and often wish I'd kept some.
I sort of remember, I remember being a sophomore, I had a Asian English teacher, that I drove bonkers. I don't recall the exact topic but I do remember it had to be 5 pages long. Writing was never a problem for me and I remember completing the assignment. My only issue was is that my artistic side would get in the way while writing. It had to 'look' a certain way and couldn't be written normally. I don't know why, I was a strange kid back then. I drove my teacher bonkers because I made my T's upside down, my I's were all lower case with a big bubble dot on top, my Y's, G's,and Z's had enormous loops, and I managed to add tails to majority of the alphabet. I remember my teacher complimenting my essay but said I had to correct my handwriting. Which for some reason I refused to do. I was so hard-headed and rebellious.
Yes, i remember having to write a short biography and then interviewing one of my parents about their childhood, i then had to write a essay on the differences between their childhood and mine.
