Yes I have had this feeling for awhile. It has been sometime since I have writen a hub.
I just take a break, then start writing again once I'm in a better frame of mind.
i would definitely take a cup of tea to solve this problem.
When I get like this, I take a break for a day or two. Read some magazines or newspapers, watch tv and listen to some music. I sometimes get an idea from something that I have read or heard about. I hope the ideas flow for you.
Don't force the issue. Some of my best writing has come when I step back and let it come to me naturally. Be patient and watch what happens around you. Ideas will begin to flow again!
go for a walk in an inspirational place with no distractions other than nature. don't think ' what can i write?' just open your mind and wait for inspiration. it will come if you don't get disheartened.
i read once; i think in steven kings biography; that he (or some other author) just put a pen to paper, started writing nonsense and eventually it turned into something.
Put down the pen.......and live some.
To write about life, you must first live it.

I would just like to know if I am the only one who this happens to: when i write, as I am writing a novel at the moment, I often find that my self esteem and belief in the skill of my writing goes down very low both while I am writing and soon afterwards. Is this just me, or does...

I am new to Hub pages. I am a physician by profession but have always had a flair for writing and used to publish a decade or so ago. I had to take a break from writing owing to my commitment to medicine and long hours of studying. Now that I have completed my training on all fronts, I am ready to...

Does anyone still read an actual newspaper?I miss sitting at the table with my coffee and reading the newspaper, shuffling through the sections, reading the classifieds, etc. I stopped my subscription years ago. Do you still get the paper?
