What are the best self-publishing options if you live in Australia?
I am going to self-publish a children's picture book next year in conjunction with a local charity. What are the best self-publishing companies (preferably within Australia)? I want quality, and the ability for individuals to purchase a copy online (and not have to wait too long for it to be delivered. i.e. if it is coming from the US it is likely to take a minimum of 3 weeks). Dymocks has released D-Publishing, however they do not appear to produce picture books at this stage and there seems to be issues with the contract. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
I am not 100% sure if you can publish with them if you live in Australia (though I think you can) but check out Lulu (lulu.com). They are great for self-publishing... I've published books with them. They are based in the United States though.
I have know idea! And beside, I myself have a problem on publishing a Hubs.
Thanks lovebuglena. I have looked into Lulu. They actually look fantastic. My only issue was the time people would have to wait if they were ordering individual copies from the US. We may have to look into just buying bulk and then accepting orders and distributing them ourselves within Australia as most of our market will be here to begin with anyway. Thanks for your help!
well, i really am not familiar in Australia...but it's a great venture though...good luck!!!

Best Publishing Options for a First Time Novel?Question really tells it all. I heard of like PublishAmerica and all that, they have a lawsuit out those and have been proven to be utterly fake so I don't know much about that. Any ideas?

Best route for Self-Publication?I'm aware of, and love, options such as Lulu. I like printing on demand services and am almost at the point of addiction (aha). I'm wondering if perhaps there is a better place where I could produce something along the lines of Gilded covers and leatherbound...

If you self-publish on-line, what on-line publishing company do you use?I am currently using Amazon Createspace for 'in print' versions, having also tried lulu.com. For e-books I am using kdp and smashwords. I have also published on kobo. So far I am happy with Createspace then...
