How do you keep up with all of your comments on your Hubs?

How do writer keep up with comments on Hubpages? Do you write a comment back to EVERY single writer that left you a comment, or do you just write one comment for all of the comments that you receive?

Most of the people that find my Hubs on Google seem to add random comments, which I mostly leave blank unless they're a question or praise.

it takes time Jessi;; I can only answer for myself but if someone has taken the time to comment on my hub then I feel I owe it to them to answer it. Otherwise who do I think I am? i want people to read but I don't want to be bothered to answer?  That seems like the worst kind of hubris to me.

I reply to most every comment and sometimes I combine them. It is good to reply and thank your guests. Blessings:smile

I totally agree with billybuc! I answer every single comment left under my hubs. That is a form of respect to your readers. They need to be thanked and their questions need to be answered!

This will depend on how busy you are but i think it is only courtesy to answer comments on your hubs. Sometimes I combine but mostly I try to give individual answers. I've tried to answer comments left on my hubs even if I don't see them straight away, sometimes weeks can go by.

I always reply to the comments by good fellow-hubbers individually in a courteous manner. In this way, I not only thank them for their encouraging feedback and visits but also interacted with them in a friendly and grateful manner. In this way, you are able to gain more appreciation and respect from your followers. Fellow-hubbers also share their brief interesting stories (depending on the type of topic of your hub) with you and the best way to interact with them is to reply individually to each fellow-hubber. If you are extremely busy, no problem, try to combine your replies in a detailed and courteous manner.

I get notification through my email address when someone comments on a hub I have written or that I follow.  I approve all comments against my hubs and in many cases I thank those who have commented and in some cases I point out the points they have made.  In most cases I agree with the comments and I say so while others I understand their point of view.

Comments left on any hubs are a chance to understand different points of view.  This makes us better individuals.  All of us should listen to others as this is the way we grow as individuals and in some cases it may provide ideas for other hubs.

I usually get those comments in my email, so I check my email everyday and try to respond as I get new comments. It is a great thing to do, and my followers seem to want to keep following me because I am prompt in commenting.

I agree with Billybuc. I try to write a comment back to every single commenter. I have no problems keeping it up yet. I haven't written that many hubs and I haven't gotten that many comments. I could really see this as a problem if I'd get many comments. Then I wouldn't answer every single comment, I think, but I would mention all commentators by name. If you take the time to read a hub and comment on it, the writer of the hub should at least give you some attention. I have commented on some hubs, and the writer never commented back. Then I feel it's a waste of time for me.

It does take a lot of time; however, I reply to most of my comments.
It is an honour to receive all these comments from such an esteemed community.

Coming back to your question, sometimes I reply back individually to all my friends, and sometimes I write just one comment, but I make sure that I mention each and every name.

I always answer all of my comments, though I'm not terribly popular yet so it is pretty easy. Hopefully there will come a time when it is more of a chore. I take that back, there was one comment I didn't answer because it was obviously Spam, aside from that I answer them all.
