Yes. (years ago) Setting the Captives Free by Rebecca Brown
A deep insight into the evil side of the Supernatural.
I couldn't bring myself to sleep through the night and ended up sleeping in the morning. lol.
That'll teach me!
Not a book. No. When I was a kid The Innocents, a movie based on A Turn of the Screw, a story I have since read, scared the hell out of me.
"The Hot Zone" about ebola and other viruses. This book even scared Stephen King.
When I was a child, seeing the cover of Stephen King's the Shining scared me crazy. I would make somebody turn it over. Even had a nightmare about it.
When I was old enough to read it, the cover didn't scare me anymore. So I thought the book wouldn't be that scary.
uuummm... i was wrong. Scared crazy.
These books won't scare you, they will enlighten you.
Check it out, if you love to read!
just posted on site, for all book readers.
Yes, I read In Cold Blood as a young teenager and it freaked me out...
Oh, and also the Andromeda Strain...I was paranoid my blood would dry up
Thunderhead by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Gave me chills, but I finally forced myself to finish it.
I read the Exorcist when I was too young and thought possession was just around the corner! Though it probably won't bother me too much now, I won't read it out of memory.
Also House of Leaves really got to me. The whole concept of that thing is crazy.
This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti caught me in its clutches and would not let me go! It's a superatural thriller with a spiritual twist and I remember staying up all night to finish it!
Salem's Lot by Stephen King. I don't believe in vampires but he made me believe while I was reading it. Wouldn't read it at night. Know grown men wouldn't read it at night either.

What non-fiction book have you read that has changed your life?Personally, I have had a few, but the one that sticks out for me is "Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge. It talks about fatherhood and having a warrior heart.
