How do I get people to "follow me"

How can one increase their followers?  Are my articles that boring?

Keep writing good, interesting content. Interact in the forums, but not just about how to increase traffic, or followers, or money. People enjoy those that they have things in common with, can learn from, or can support and gain support from. Positivity helps : )

Don't fret, it will come in time.

Could I suggest that a slightly more cheerful avatar ("profile image") might help?
People see enough trouble during the course of their lives, so they may shy away from another frowning/sad person. You don't have to have a "HAPPY FACE!!" type of avatar (you'll note that mine is not), but perhaps something a little more nuetral - or even a small smile? Just a thought ...  ;-)

I agree with Jeff. I personally have never read a question or answer from you until now, which is usually where I find those whom I follow. I just visited your profile for a quick look, and I absolutely love the mug omelet recipe!! That is a great idea! I am now your 11th follower!

I agree with the above answer... Be involved and interact.  If someone comments on your Hub, comment back... Its like life and networking, if you put equal interest in other people, you will get the same...

Get involved! Read and comment on other people's hubs, ask and answer questions... follow other people. If you engage with people they will engage with you. Don't expect them to come flocking just because you wrote something... you have to let people know you're there.

Oh, and yeah your expression in the photo could put off some people. Your avatar is often the first thing people see of you here. People are subconsciously attracted to smiles. This is a fact. Remember, first impressions count... even in cyberspace.

Thanks Dave. I'm trying that.  Maybe I need to work on my personal skills. IDK?
      Thanks for the reply.

I come here and read questions that interest me then I decide to check out the hubber's profile, then their hubs and it grows from there. Get involved and read others work and comment on their hubs, ask questions, participate any way you can.
