Would you read an Alternative History Short Story on Kindle for 99c?
I have such a story. It has about 20,000 words, and is the start of a series. World War II era, if Stalin never ascended to the Pravda (and thus never became leadership). "Privateer Wars: Ghosts in the Pacific" in case your interested. My main question is, do you think 99c is too much for essentially what is a Novella?
No it isn't too much. I paid $1.99 for a novel that after I purchased it, it was junk. If you become popular, you can charge much more.
Actually, 99 cents to $1.99 is perfect. Even when it becomes popular, I would keep the price the same. There are several kindle authors who make more than a million per year selling 99 cent novels and ebooks. Readers are willing to risk one or two bucks on most books, because it's not a big loss if it sucks
