What motivates you and helps decide your subjects to write about on Hub Pages?

Something innovative, something controversial, something inspirational, other Hubbers and their work...what motivates you to write on Hub Pages?

I get my inspiration mostly from my dreams and my experiences with people I interact with. Some times objects of seeming little value spark off the fire and 'beep!' I turn my noisy long replacement overdue pc on fire.

My motivation to write hubs is spreading information that I think is important, useful, and beautiful.  My inspiration for ideas comes from many places including my own interests, quotes that resonate with me, books I have read, or even other hubs.  Ideas can be found in unlikely places and I find it helpful to write them down as soon as they come to mind...even if I think it is silly at the time.

My motivation is that I do like to write as well. I agree that you have to capture the thoughts as they come to you. Sometimes I have a wave of 'inspiration', and other times I am blank.

My motivation is I like to write.
My inspiration is almost everything. As a news reporter I was limited in what I wrote, because I was covering the news. In my PR life, I was limited even more because I was writing about one industry.
Now as a freelance or whatever term you want to use I can write about everything from politics and oil and gas issues to stories about my Beagles or the nesting of Mourning Doves on my carport.

So the short answer anything, I might see, hear or remember could become the inspiration for a hub.

I usually choose a writing topic based on: (1) How interested I am in that particular topic and (2) How important I believe it will be to the lives of others.
I am motivated to express my ideas that I may both improve my own communication skills through writing and produce a work that can reach others whom I may never have a chance to meet.

Anything that makes me interested out of the blue. Sometimes I'm too scatterbrained and need to focus on one topic. Nothing controversial, just interesting. What do I want to research?

My inspiration comes from when I listen to music. I like to think of the lyrics and try to make my own story. Scenes from movies that I watch are good inspirations as well.  Dreams are also a inspiration also. I agree with @micadeolu with experiences as well.

It's like this: 'eeny-meeny-miny-mo'. I've got a lot on at the moment, so i've got to concentrate my efforts on my latest book - less than fifty pages to go before I have to edit it. Then we'll see sparks fly!
I owe somebody a few lines for the DOGA Journal, somebody else is going to need a few lines for the 'blurb' on my current book (out soon) and I've got a job or two around the house. I seem to work harder since i retired from working for others!

I decide to write  about personal experiences and/or events that have affected me one way or another. Past work experience, hobbies and travels  are another.
