    Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Sci Fi.

Have always read and will continue to read stuff like that.

I remember reading "Heidi" and "Pippi Longstocking" so I guess I liked reading about girls like me, but with different lives.  Now that I think about it, I guess I haven't changed all that much!

I loved reading as a child and read many books in my childhood. Some of those that I can remember are:

    Charlotte's Web by E B White
Alice Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Montgomery
    Greyfriars Bobby by Eleanor Atkinson
The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C S Lewis
The Water Babies by Rev Charles Kingsley

I loved the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey, and still do. I also enjoyed Redwall by Brian Jacques. I loved fantasy basically, especially when animals/creatures were involved.

Codex Alera might interest you a bit. Has to do with elemental manipulation, and I am pretty sure it also includes familiars (animal type creatures). Its by Jim Butcher, who also wrote The Dresden Files. Incredibly amazing series.

I enjoyed reading adventure stories that described events that I'd never experienced. I loved Enid Blyton books. I know there are criticisms of her books today, but I didn't think about the problems when I was a child. I also enjoyed the What Katy Did series.

I liked Trixie Belden series, Five Little Peppers, and anything that was a mystery.  I guess you can tell I'm an oldie but goodie.
