500 people have visited my hubs, is it true I only earned eighty four cents, how is that possible?
If you're writing for money on Hubpages you'll probably be disappointed. I've have around 130,000 visits to my Hubs and never seen a cent. Mind you, whatever is remitted goes to my son. But he tells me its no more than a few cents every now and again. It's so little its not even noticeable.
From what I deduce you need to write stuff that advocates certain products and services. These draw people to the advertisements then generated by the Hubpage progam. You need to be very professional with at least one really good video as well as attractive pictures and first class writing - and even then I don't think you'll make a fortune.
I think it also depends whether those visitors have AdBlock installed or not. If they do not view the adds that are on your hubs, you won't get paid for that, no matter how many hits you get for certain hubs.
Thanks, this is an awesome site, either way. It is easy to post my work and the ads and the photos. I love writing on hubpages. Whoever created hubpages liked writers!
That's true If it paid well, sure, would be great. But even then, it's good to be able to post our words and even have people reading them.
