Of course you can, Jennifer. Here is a link where you can review all the fiction / short story hubs.

Look them over to get an idea and go for it. Best of luck and welcome to HubPages.
Thank you so much for answering....i can base it on any story idea I have?
Well it's not going to be anything inappropriate. It's just a story over had in mind for awhile.
That is good. Just write your story and see how it goes. When you are in the edit mode, pay attention to the "Need some goals?" box in the top right of the page - that will help you.
It is a guide on your progress as you write. Did you read the FAQ section for help in getting started? This Q&A here does not allow much room for comments. Start a forum thread if you want more detailed help. :-)
I'm not sure how to start forum but I'll try to figure it out.
No reason you can't. This is a site for all kinds of writing--reviews, how-tos, guides, lists--and there's no rule against submitting fiction or poetry or anything of that nature.
Any writing - story, novel (?!), poetry, article, recipe, reviews etc etc- all acceptable.
yes you can, any fiction stories are popular in hubages. why not?

I am master of intros, but am amateur at outros. Either 1) How do you think up/write a climax/resolution that is difficult for the audience to guess/anticipate? or 2) What is your process for writing the resolution of a story? Thank you!

What was it like the first time you wrote a complete fictional story? How did it make you feel?
