Do you have any wise words to share?

Quotes, Sayings, are meant to inspire us.  For example -
    Call your family often.

Each day give something good to others.

    Forgive everyone for everything.

Do you have any others you can share with us?

If you can't say something good about a person; don't say anything at all.

Thank you Writer Chuck. So many of us grew up with that saying and it is a good one.  Thank you for reminding us.

Hi dohn121, thank you for adding to our treasure-chest of quotes.  I am fascinated by your submission, but do not yet understand it.  Maybe a little explanation could make it more useful ?

Not a problem MarieLB!  If you ever tried "frying a small fish" you'll know that it's a delicate and finicky feat: Use too much heat in haste and you'll overcook or burn it.  However, if you use good judgement and patience you'll no doubt succeed!

Thank you so much dohn121.  Now that makes perfect sense.  Let us hope that our authorities know and abide by these wise words.

Manatita, what a treasure trove of wise sayings.  Thank you for giving us so much to reflect upon. There is one I could not work out. It goes this way- "The disciple loves the man the Principle. . . ."

By nature humans become attached to their teachers, while forgetting the message of the teachers. They wish devotion from us, which is radically different from being attached, from using the Teacher as a crutch, Marie. Some do this with Christ.

The Truth shines under examination and interrogation.
The Lie forbids question and examination.
The Truth seeks the light so that all can see.
The Lie hides in the shadow, claiming to be a mystery beyond our right to know.

Yes, I do.  But it's up to you, the reader to say the words.  After which you need to remain silent within your own mind for as long as you can.

    Ready?

The words are: : I am.

What you experienced after those words and before the first verbal though occurs is not you.   But in that silence the Observer waiting was and IS you-  the REAL you.

So many good posts, some excellent ones. There was humor [which I have enjoyed] and words that are  very very deep.  I cannot choose the Best Answer, because there is no such thing, as I am sure you all know.

But you have contributed so much in the way of wise advice, that I have copied them and printed them, so I will have them handy to read again and again.

Thank you all for taking the time to share.
