What are the motives of our life??? for money-happiness-satisfaction.
One country western singer said nothing to $100 a week ($300/week today's money) was everything, and everything about that is nothing.
If you're hungry, homeless or afraid of being so, unable to pay for medical care, cold because the heat is out, it is difficult to be happy. When basic needs are met, then money matters less for happiness than outlook.
Some of this can be deduced with simple questioning. Why do we need money? To buy a house? to socialise? To pay the bills? Why do we wish to pay the bills? Because we will get annoying letters or phone-calls? is it because we'll go to jail? Why are we afraid of jail? Stigma? humiliation? we'll miss the children at home?
Why do we need them? A sense of belonging perhaps? So why do we wish to belong? This can go on forever. Something is always missing.
So what are the motives of our lives? The rich man's son has money and he spends it on 'coke' and has a fatal addiction. What was he looking for?
What do we want or need, Mac? Best wishes.
