You're on a writing site so I'd guess that writing must be a passion that you've already discovered. Some people go through life and never discover their passion at all and perhaps some don't feel the need to. I think if you enjoy something and you know you're good at it, then it could become a passion. If you're so absorbed in something creative like writing, painting or making music then the time appears to go faster and you tend to block out everything else and view any disturbance as an intrusion. You can also share a passion with others that doesn't necessarily have to be creative, like sports. Hobbies can sometimes develop into a passion, More often than not, they are just a passing phase until something more interesting comes along but occasionally you'll just stumble on something that you never want to let go of, your entire life.
