Please take some time to read Gianella's very interesting article about the website acpeo, which is currently causing us all a lot of pain by stealing our work.

    Hello Gianella,

Your thoughts were interesting to read; I wish we could all see this issue from the same perspective; unfortunately, we cannot all do so, but I appreciate your kindness in seeing it through the lens of psychology; as a psychology student, I also enjoy exploring people's behavior in the light of psychology.

I agree that the person may have some psychological issues that cause him to feel and act in such a manner, but consider if we think similarly about 'Putin.'

He also believes that what he is doing is correct and that he has no intention of causing harm to anyone. So, can we call his statement to be true? Or can we appreciate him causing all the commotion and disaster because we think it's okay to let him do all that because he must be frustrated or going through some mental trauma? Obviously not! Everything has a limit. Right? smile

I agree with some of your points, and that is a positive way of looking at it, but I don't think it will help us in a long run; instead, if it will continue, it will frustrate us. Isn't that right? I believe we need to take some serious action regarding that site. He/She is only one person, and here in HubPages, there are thousands of writers who are continuously writing and having their work stolen.

I believe you have the potential to be a good TedTalk speaker, and I genuinely think you should give that a try. I enjoyed reading your hub and your thoughts on this issue. Thank you so much for taking the time to share. Stay blessed and happy. smile

Don't stop being positive after reading everything I've said, because I, too, am a positive person who encourages positive behavior. Positivity leads to success. I wish you the best of luck and success. smile

Much Love and Blessings to you!!

Thank you for sharing Misbah! I owe you one.

Let's see if there's someone from TedTalk here that's gonna read my article. That would be funny if they contacted me, right? After everything I said about TedTalks. I might have been a little too much.

I'm thankful that you think I have the potential in trying to be a speaker. It was one of my dreams, to be a motivational writer and a speaker that inspire millions and billions. Let's try someday, who knows.

In the meantime, I'll keep writing and reach 50 hubs.

God Bless to you too. Misbah. Thank you again for sharing.

Gianella, thank you for taking my challenge and joining the cause. I notice your last article is on the Acpeo site, but this one has not been stolen yet. My latest article still remains untouched as well, so maybe the perpetrator is only scraping articles listed under certain topics.

I also appreciate your attempts to try to get inside the brain of someone who would steal the writing (hard work) of others, but there is no excuse for theft on such a large scale. The fact that Misbah’s article that was removed after filing a DMCA form was later restored to his site is proof that he doesn’t really care about steps taken so far.

You say he is obviously intelligent, well to even know how to use scraping software and steal bulk articles from a site like he must be, but how intelligent is it to put them all under his site’s “business” heading? Even his food articles are not under the correct headings at the site and if you check “latest recipes” it lists random articles in the “business’ category (all stolen from HubPages) and of many different genres.

He obviously thinks he is immune to any form of redress because in most cases he accredits the original author with their copyright at the end as well as a link back to HubPages as the source.
Unfortunately, HubPages just give the stock standard reply…authors own their articles and it is therefore up to them to file a DMCA…blah blah.

Wow. After everything I have said about acpeo and this person, they still copied it again on their website. They really aren't careful. What a waste.

It is obvious they are just scraping anything published by those they follow. they don't care what the articles are even about. I wrote one about content theft as well. "The Attack of the Scraper Bots." Waiting for them to steal it.

I found you article to be very interesting Gianella. Something does need to be done, but I don't think they care what you say. The Hubpage staff should do more to fix this problem in my opinion. I only recently realized the degree of this problem.
