    Hi Rosina,

The way you wrote this story, it sounded almost like you were sharing a personal experience.  If so, I hope the two of you remain friends.  At least in the story, it seems as though they will.

A wonderful story, Rosina. In this world it is very difficult to find true friends. I like that Zara and Bariq have remained friends through the years. True friendship is like the sun that you can not always see in the darkness of the night, but you know will come back and brighten your day. There is nothing in this world worth more than true friendship. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Pamela for sharing Rosina's work.

Love and Blessings to both of you!!

I am very happy to know that you enjoyed my short story. Yes, true friendship is rare nowadays. Zara is lucky to have the treasured friendship with Bariq. I like your analogy of true friendship with the sun that you can not always see in the darkness of the night but that will come back to brighten our days. I appreciate your comments, Misbah. Thank you so much.

Love and blessings to you too.

The story is so beautiful and inspiring. True friendship is the thing that can keep us afloat and keep a person sane even in the hardest of times.
I have a friend that has once migrated to another country. At first we have fallen apart because I personally thought that distance can do no good for such a relationship but then I realized that you can feel the support and compassion of another person even if you're thousands of miles apart.
Do you think this story would be age-appropriate to read to kids? I have a lesson on friendship coming up and I would like to include the discussion of this poem in the syllabus.
BTW if you want to check out activities and games for bonding and developing frindsip, I have tons of good ones here https://aliciaortego.com/friendship-bon … -and-more/

Yes, Alicia, true friendship doesn't depend on the distance between the two and can flourish very well.

The story is actually written for grownups but you could tell the story to kids too from a child's point of view.

Thanks for the resources on bonding and developing friendships. I will check them out.
