Val shows us how a long distance connection can sometimes mean more to you than family & friends right outside your door.

I want to ask the "millions of HP'rs...Has anyone of you ever had an "Ode" written about you?
As much as I want to give credit to Val for composing this "masterpiece"..I think he knows the real reason he did it, was so that he could insert those beautifully descriptive words..and experience the emotions they produced within himself..describing that enchanted place we both are so enamored with...Yes folks***HAWAII***
Feel better now Val♡
I love how Val dedicated an ode to you Allen. I had one written for me awhile back, and it is a big compliment. But yes, he probably just used it as an excuse to mention HAWAII haha.
True motives for my writing have been misread before, so I am not one bit surprised that Hawaii turned out to be the one in my poem. And here I am talking about my niche, which never meant to be welcomed.
With my many satires, and coupled with my reasons for not playing games of reciprocating praises, I never setup a base for my popularity -- while popularity was the very last thing I cared about. I let some others worry about it as they seem to try so hard to secure one.
Likewise, this thing with the popularity contest naturally brings the same satirist out of me, since I am here just to have fun of expressing my thoughts which are straightforward, not trying to be politically correct, and sparing no one's ego, including my own.
While I was expressing my friendliness toward Allen, I meant Allen, not Hawaii. Hawaii was a peripheral thing, emotionally charged as may be.
It's like there was a reason to downsize my friendship with the Hawaii-detail.
Well, as long as Allen got the message right, I am just fine with it.
I was joking about Hawaii, Val. Allen should be touched by your public show of friendship.
Now that Allen has read it, and now that the message has been watered down -- I have deleted the poem. In the past I deleted over hundred of others -- doesn't bother me to delete this one either. We all had our fun with it, each in our own way.
Awe....so sad to remove a poem that others might also relate too.
I hope Allen had a chance to print it off for his keepsake.
Maybe you can shoot him an email so he can read it whenever he wants.
Still great ink.
Also deleting about 140 other pieces, all poems -- leaving just some 15-20 articles. LOL. Fun is changing its face for me. Allen remains a great friend, "ode" or not.
No problem....be you.
I wouldn't expect anything less.
Take care & enjoy life my friend.

My friend Val Karas has humbled me with this tribute so I had to share it. Val never seeks praise nor does he believe in the reciprocal exchange of comments, but how could I not share this here? Thank you Val, you don’t realise how much this, and your friendship...
