    Hello Raviji!
    I clearly remember that day, when this had happened. It was most tragic and shocking to watch the visuals on television. You are right about the Nepali people considering their King as the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu.
    I have sweet memories of Nepal, since I have lived in Kathmandu during my childhood, as my father was professor there.
    Well written and researched topic. Thank you for sharing.

    Very fascinating and well written article as always, Ravi. I knew nothing about this event. The world is an evil place sometimes and to be honest we all carry a devil inside us. Even we don't always know what we're going to do next until it happens. Just my two cents.

    Ravi's article is interesting. It's frustrating when we don't know important details about a historical event. It's also sad if someone is blamed for a tragedy if they weren't responsible. I hope more details are discovered about the event that Ravi describes.

    Yes, this indeed was a dark day for the royal family of Nepal. It seems to me as if the event happened only the other day but actually 20 years have gone by. Thanks for sharing, Ravi.
