I lke the four philosophies you live by, Rosina. I fully agree with them. I have never had anyone call me stupid, but when I was younger soe people treated me like i was stupid. Thanks for sharing this article with us.

Thank you, Pamela, for sharing the link to my article. I am delighted that you agree fully with my philosophies. Everyone has some philosophies in their life knowingly or unknowingly to exercise control. Gratitude for liking my article. I truly appreciate your comments.

Fascinating, Rosina. I loved the "stupid" philosophy; we must return it to those people with the same coin.

However, I also draw my limits and stay within them to maintain professionalism and dignity. For example, if a stupid person abuses me, it will not do me any good to stoop to their level and match their stupidity. If things get heated, I either ignore them blatantly or report their actions to a higher authority if possible. I believe there is no point in wasting my time and energy arguing with a stupid person who cannot see reason.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful thoughts Rosina. Thanks, Pamela, for sharing Rosina's work.

Ravi, thank you so much for your valuable comments. I am happy to know you liked the "stupid" philosophy. You are right- it's no use arguing with a stupid person. Reporting it to higher authority seems rational. I am glad you liked my thoughts. I appreciate your comments a lot.

    Rosina...
    I enjoyed your article.

I usually try to be the better person and try not to stoop to their level by playing games.

I think I like killing someone with kindness because they definitely don't expect this sort of reaction.

I've never thought about calling someone else stupid...but I so love your cartoon picture and just might give that a try before too long.

Staying healthy is a great idea.  I love that picture of fruit abd cheese and so wish I had it in front of me right now.

    Absolutely delicious.

I do believe that when you give compliments to others it does make them happier.

What a wonderful way to live life and spread happiness throughout each day.

    Great write.

    Take care
    Brenda

Brenda, I in turn, enjoyed your comment. I tried to imagine killing someone with kindness. And yes, I loved editing that cartoon pic. The healthy food pic is indeed delicious. Yes, it is a great way to spend each day making someone happy for a few minutes of your time. I appreciate your comments so much. Thanks a lot.

Killing someone with kindness is easy.

Just no matter what...always respond with kindness.

Even the next time you bump into them...just smile and be polite.

It always catches people off guard...
        They just don't get it.

Maybe in your world treating everyone with kindness is a good policy. But in our world you have to be strict and in command with workers like plumbers or electricians. Even with people of better standard, you have to keep your gravity otherwise they will have high demands and wouldn't fear you.

Showing kindness to them is not an option. I see it's different with your world. You can be kind to anybody without them taking advantage of you.

No not really. When it comes to business matters such as workers...you need to be direct.

People here Do take advantage of others when it comes to money.

Sad...but true.  So don't treat those people with kindness...except for paying the bill in a polite manner...not getting overcharged.

Killing others with kindness is basically for those people who try to hurt you by their rude actions or sayings...people who want to make you feel bad.

            Don't let them win.

I guess it is a good idea not to let the other party win who try to hurt or be rude. Maybe a little kindness will take them off guard but somehow my gut instinct says that these people also won't learn any lesson if you don't show off your temper or be rigid in your actions. They won't fear you, and they also might try to take advantage of you. You need to be careful, but it may not be the same in your world.

I doubt if they learn a lesson...but they know their actions don't bother me, so that part stops.

                Just take care of yourself

I love your philosophies, Rosina … especially “health is wealth.” I am sure all these have helped you greatly through life. I was brought up never to call anyone stupid or an idiot. That is an ultimate insult, even if they are behaving in that way.
Thank you so much for sharing this, Pamela.

I am glad you like the philosophy, "Health is wealth." Yes, I guess your family was decent enough not to let anyone be called stupid. I actually found the problem outside of my family and when I knew what to say in return, I was free forever. Thank you John for your insightful comments. I really appreciate them.

    Hello Rosina,
Interesting article and thanks for sharing the main philosophies of your life. I am glad that these have helped you in the journey of life.
I understand, that you must have faced many problems after losing your Father, at an early age. The good thing is that you have come out of those troubled times. I wish you all the best in life.
Thank you for sharing this insightful article.
    Thank you Pamela.

Rosina, great article offering much to ponder through another person's, you, life experience to offer insight into our own life. Thanks!

With your first philosophy I am in agreement with. However, I came to my understanding of that through physics with Newton's Third Law of Motion. It says, "forces always act in equal but opposite pairs. Another way of saying this is for every action, there is an equal but opposite reaction."

I like the second one; "You are stupid to think I am stupid!"

The third one hits home with a laundry list of health issues. At my matured age of 68 those items on the list rule my life and I am a slave to them. It would take an article to explain.

Yet, I easily can compare when younger when life was ideal with no health issues and how much more liberty I had within life. However, I have been blessed by them as they have given me a greater capacity of empathy with others. And, perhaps more appreciation when I am able to physically and emotionally fly easily in life.

It has been said that which is last is first. And, that to me applies to your fourth philosophy. Nice!! Just a simple smile to the check out person at the grocery store or even someone passing you on the street may make their day. Just think if you say, "Hello! Good to see you!" might do. smile
