I am glad you finally found your missing wallet Dream On. That is a relief. I have displaced mine a couple of times but retraced my steps snd always found it … usually in the car.
I have found about four wallets in my time that people have dropped or left behind and always returned them to either the person or a police station. One guy offered me money which I kindly refused. I found one left behind in a rest room of a club and handed it in at the bar. When they contacted the owner he came over and accused me of taking money out of it, ungrateful sod. Oh well. Once I found a blank envelope just sitting on the footpath (sidewalk) … I opened it and it contained $200. There was no identification on that so no one to return it to, so I put that down to my lucky day.

This poem of 'Dream On' is very interesting and amusing piece. I enjoyed reading it and glad that he found his wallet back. It happens with anyone. Sometimes we miss our wallets, keys, etc. And at some other times, we may find somebody else's. It's all common with people.

I do not carry my wallet unless it is needed. But, when I used to carry it a decade ago, I never lost it. The only drawback is sometimes I lose a currency note or so mistakenly given for laundry without retrieving the notes. It happened only 2 times in my life. And, as many times I found some currency notes lying on roads slipped from people's pockets while removing things or from dunkards on their way.

Interesting and relatable poem. It happens with many people.
More than the cash, the wallet has important documents, IDs etc.
and losing them invites inconvenience. So, it’s important to be careful.
Thoughtful of you to express it in poetic form.
Thank you for sharing this John.

Move over, John. I am the king of losing essential things such as wallets, keys, and phones. Thanks for sharing your poem. Now I know I am not the only person with this problem.

Hi Cam, good to see you here. Oh, I have lost my fair share of stuff, well misplaced. I usually find them eventually.
This isn’t my poem though. I was sharing Dream On’s.

John, I'm just trying to find my way back onto HubPages. It is difficult for someone like me to find a way to comment on a particular article. I miss the simplicity of the past, but I know it is gone.\

I miss the old days, Chris. I only write something here occasionally now. There is no incentive.
