Hello Vidya ji,
Thank you for sharing this important story of a domestic abuse victim, who did not give up. I felt moved by your narration.
Sadly, I can relate to this. Something similar happened with one of my acquaintances. I used to wonder, why did she tolerate such a narcissist behaviour. But, as you say, women do compromise due to their children or family.
The good news is that nowadays, women are educated, empowered, financially independent, emotionally stable. Moreover, they are aware that they should not be exploited. It’s good that the society supports them, in case they report such exploitation. And, of course there are strong laws for women safety.
Thank you for sharing this important message.
Thank you for this story of strength and survival. I hope it will be read by many who need it. "They must be brave and take the initiative to step out of such toxic relationships." You said that right, Vidya. Thanks for the link, Chitrangada.
