Pamela writes poetry and prose on domestic abuse, which is indeed a nightmare for those women all over the world. Here is a link to her article:

    Hi Pamela,
I think your article focuses on an important aspect of daily life. So many women suffer from domestic abuse every day. They need to find a way to free themselves. Your poetry itself describes the real life of a woman who suffers in such a way and yet, is in a dilemma what to do. I am glad you brought up the issue in the form of an article, creating an awareness.

      This is heartfelt, Pamela!
Sadly, domestic abuse does happen, and I have also read that such cases had increased during the lockdowns!
The figures which you have shared are scary!
      Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you Rosina, for highlighting this in the forum!

Domestic abuse is so horrific and scary for those who have experienced it.  The statistics are alarming!  As Chitrangada mentioned, the pandemic has undoubtedly made it even worse.  Thanks for putting this serious subject into poetic form Pamela, and Rosina, for sharing it in the forums.

Thank you for posting my article Rosina. Domestic abuse is a horrible problem that exists worldwide. I just saw something on TV about domestic violence and knew I wanted to write something about it. There are some safe houses in our area where women can go to get away, but so many just stay in a bad situation. I appreciate your thoughtful comments.

Peggy, I do think the pandemic has made things worse unfortunately. Thank you for your comments, and I am glad you think the poem describes what these women are experiencing. I am also glad you think it was a good idea to address this topic.

A very uncomfortable, but very important, topic to discuss. Domestic violence is a sad issue that, unfortunately, is all too common in many countries. The problem stems primarily from insecurity and the desire of one partner to gain control over the other, regardless of gender. I am disappointed that the ratio has risen during the COViD period. Thank you for creating this hub, Pamela.

    Thanks for sharing, Rosina

    Take care and stay healthy.
Many Blessings and love as always

Domestic abuse is an uncomfortable topic, but it is all too common around the world. Men are also abused but not at the same rate of women. The one video explains very clearly the abuse cycle and control is the motivating factor. I appreciate all of your generous comments. They are much appreciate.
Many blessings and love for you as well.

Pamela has discussed an important topic in her article. Her prose and poetry inform us about a tragic situation. It's important to publicize the problem, as she has done very effectively.

Sadly many women have no way out, they are simply helpless. Your poem brings out the emotions of the victim very well, Pamela. Thanks for sharing Rosina.
