I just finished my first chapter! Well, the first 'rewrite' of my story/book. lol and the first division of my story into chapters, although I already knew where I was going to divide the chapters. I'm excited This weekend I'll see how far I get on the second chapter - I hope at least a couple pages.
Keep plugging away, after a while, it will be done. Good job.
Good for you. That's a really great achievement. The first one is really difficult.
I've been wanting to write this story into a book since I was a little girl, and now I'm doing it. It feels great.
I didn't expect to write it yet though lol, I thought I would be a little old lady before I wrote it
its feels pretty awesome to finaly do something you've been wanting to do!
like later today, I think I'll get dressed? maybe....
Yes, I've been told it can take about two years to complete a book - and I can see how! lol it took since 3/6 or 3/7 til tonite to finish One chapter! And, sadly, I just looked and saw I didn't exactly follow my outline, so...rewrite! But, that's okay, I can fix it. (I hope lol)
Eh if you don't follow your outline don't rewrite...go with it. YOu never know the cahnges might be what makes you book even better. and don't do one chatper, then go back and make changes. write out the entire story first.
glad you said that - it was my plan but I'm glad to hear it coming from someone who knows
Yep my writing friends told me that you never want to write one chapter then go back and make changes then move onto the second chapter...because in the end nothing flows right.
It must be why books go through many rewrites lol
I'm enjoying the process of learning how to write a story/book, so I'll be able to write another when I finish
have fun with it! Oh and a bit of advice...while you are writing other ideas WILL pop into your head...so keep a notebook/journal and pens ready so you can write it down for later stories I have a journal plus two notebooks that I take EVERYWHERE just in case something sparks the imagination
Very welcome...I like helping other writers. Keep us posted on how u r doing with your book. ooo what genre are you writing?
I was just going to ask that same questions Crazd. What genre?
omg - do I hafta know? lol
I believe I was told it's a drama - it's my first creative writing hub - and I had no idea how to go from my hub to a full story until I asked lmmartin, she got me going in the right direction.
